Beautiful antique Victorian pendant in 14k gold with amethyst as the focal point.

This pendant may have been a late mourning piece of jewelry during the 1800s. The Victorians wore black during the first year of mourning. but during the second year it was acceptable for them to wear purple. Amethyst was a popular stone often seen in Victorian jewelry, so it’s a good chance this could have been a late mourning piece.

Of course, for those of us who love purple, or have a February birthday, it’s just a beautiful purple pendant that’s perfect for everyday!
